A 21-year-old man was shot dead and six others left injured in Orlando last night following a confrontation between two parties.
Police responded to reports of shots fired around 11pm Wednesday in the area of Ironwedge Drive and South Lake Orlando Parkway.
Upon arrival, officers discovered seven people had been shot, including James Jerry Dawn William III, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Six others were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. They are all currently in stable condition and are expected to survive.
The Orlando Police Department said the shooting came after an altercation earlier Wednesday afternoon. Officers are still investigating the roles of those injured and working to identifying the suspects.
Detectives remain in the area, as there is still an active crime scene, but said they believe the shooting was an ‘isolated and targeted incident’.

The shooting took place in a residential area near what appears to be a condominium complex.

A police spokesperson told DailyMail.com: ‘We are working to identify all victims and their conditions. This is an ongoing investigation, once we have more information we will make that available.’
