A Pennsylvania man has been arrested after he allegedly broke into a New Jersey home and shot his child’s mother and grandmother to death.
Junior Edwards, 37, is charged with two counts of first degree murder, home invasion burglary armed with a firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon fo unlawful purpose, and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigation began at about 4 a.m. Wednesday when Willingboro Township Police were called to the scene of a burglary in process only to find the bodies of Catherine Nunez, 33, and her 54-year-old mother, Marisol Nunez, in an upstairs bedroom, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators determined that a first-floor window had been broken open. They also found a handgun believed used to kill the two women outside the home.
Upon learning that Edwards and Catherine Nunez shared an 8-year-old son — who was home when the murders took place but was not physically harmed — investigators focused on him as a possible suspect.
Edwards was arrested on unrelated charges in Philadelphia and presented with the New Jersey warrants on Friday.
