Another Serial Killer? Texas Man Charged With Killing 3 Women in 4 Months

Texas police have charged a 25-year-old man with three murders between April 22 and July 15 in southwest Dallas.

Oscar Sanchez Garcia was arrested on July 19 and charged with the deaths of Kimberly Robinson, Cherish Gibson, and DeBrenese Henry.

Dallas police said Robinson, 60, was found on April 22; Gibson, 25, on June 24; and Henry, 31, on July 15. Henry was initially unidentified.

KXAS said investigators realized a connection after finding the body of Gibson, who’d been stabbed, and noted that Robinson’s body had been found just 200 yards away with similar wounds.

Investigators noted wide tire tracks in the area near Gibson’s body and saw a dark blue pickup truck with wide tires leaving the area in surveillance footage from a nearby business. They tracked the vehicle using license plate cameras and found it registered to Sanchez Garcia.

Gibson’s family sent detectives the last location of her cell phone, and it was found in a field nearby, along with other, unspecified evidence. Sanchez Garcia’s phone records allegedly showed his phone moving along the same path as Gibson’s on June 24 until Gibson’s was left in the field.

Investigators said rape kits taken from Robinson and Gibson showed that they were likely assaulted by the same person, but the affidavit did not say if the DNA was a match for the suspect.

Police have not released any other information about Henry or her death except to say she was found about a mile away from the other two.

Dallas Police Department spokesperson Kristin Lowman said ‘at this point’ they do not believe there are additional victims linked to Sanchez Garcia but said the investigation is ongoing.

Sanchez Garcia is in the Dallas County Jail on a $2 million bond for two of the murders. Bond has not been set in the third.
