On Thursday morning, a 14-year-old American teen disappeared in the port town of Rostock-Warnemünde in Germany, after he left the Caribbean Princess cruise ship.
Aydin Brown was last seen July 4 around 7:30 a.m. when the Caribbean Princess cruise ship docked in Germany. Surveillance footage showed Aydin leaving the ship alone., but family members reportedly said he could have been “lured” from the ship.
Princess Cruises told Fox News Digital it is “actively collaborating with German law enforcement on a missing person’s case involving a 14-year-old young man who disembarked from the Caribbean Princess in Warnemunde on Thursday morning without an escort.”
“My cousin Anne took her grandson Aydin on a special European cruise! (Just the two of them) He got off the ship in Germany and went missing about 24 hours ago!,” Brown’s cousin,Amy Kopischke, wrote on Facebook.
The boy reportedly had a falling out with his grandmother, which led him to leave the ship.
On Thursday night, his grandmother disembarked and is now getting support from Princess Cruises staff in Germany, while Brown’s mother, Katie Brown, is being flown out to Germany by the cruise liner, NBC News reports.
Before the teen vanished on Thursday morning, an unknown male was seen with him. Police feel could the person give them more information. He’s described as a man who appears to be in his early to mid 20s.
Brown is described as standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. He weighs around 220 pounds and as last seen wearing a gray, zip-up hoodie and dark pants. He had a large black backpack with “AMAZON” on the front.
