Philly Police Find Vehicle Used in Bus Stop Shooting of 8 High School Students

The fourth suspect in a shooting at a Philadelphia bus stop earlier this month was arrested Tuesday in Virginia.

Eight high school students were wounded in the shooting on March 6. Police said one of them, shot nine times, was the intended target and was hospitalized in critical condition, as CrimeOnline reported.

Investigators from the US Marshals Service tracked down Asir Boone, 17, to an apartment in Alexandria, Virginia, where he was hiding with a woman who has ties to Philadelphia, WPVI reported.

Marshals said Boone “looked relieved” when he was taken into custody.

“He looked tired. But he didn’t ask any questions and we didn’t ask any questions of him,” said Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal for the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.

Philadelphia police had already arrested the other three suspects in the shooting: Jermahd Carter, 19, and Jamaal Tucker and Ahnile Buggs, both 18. Tucker is believe to have been the driver of the getaway car seen in video of the shooting. He is being held on a $16.1 million bail. Buggs was given a $16 million bail, and Carter is being held on a $4 million bail. It’s not clear why there is a wide disparity between Carter’s bail and the other two suspects.

Boone’s bail has not been announced.
