After the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant, the Humane Society’s Animal Cruelty Task Force conducted the rescue at the home.

“The living animals were severely emaciated and suffering from various injuries and health conditions, and the remains of nine deceased dogs were also found on the property and recovered,” the organization said.
