4-Month-Old Alabama Girl’s Death Ruled a Homicide by Trauma

The death of a 4-month-old girl this week in Alabama has been ruled a homicide.

Birmingham Police said they were called to Children’s Hospital of Alabama on Thursday by hospital employees who said the infant was unresponsive when she was brought to the hospital in a private vehicle, WIAT reported.

Autumn Duskin was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police said she had been at her home before she was brought to the hospital.

The Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office determined on Friday that she died from trauma.

Detectives have presented the case to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, which will determine if charges will be filed. No further details were released.
