Police Investigating Death of 3-Year-Old Tot on Christmas

A 3-month-old Tennessee boy was found dead Monday in his babysitter’s West Nashville apartment when the boy’s mother and another parent arrived to pick up their children.

Six other infants, aged up to 16-months, were found alone in the apartment and were said to be in good health, WSMV reported.

Hikers found the babysitter, 51-year-old Anne C. Jordan, in Harpeth River State Park west of Nashville Monday evening. She had significant cuts to her arms, and police said they appeared to be self-inflicted.

Investigators said she was flown to a Nashville hospital for treatment.

Her car was found at the park and is being searched for evidence.
