3 Found Dead After Texas House Fire; Cops Say They Were Killed Before Fire Was Set

Police in Texas are investigating after three dead bodies were found in a house fire in a suburban Houston community.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the fire appeared to be arson and that the victims — a woman, her son, and his girlfriend — were apparently dead before the fire was set using some type of accelerant.

Gonzalez identified the victims as Kelly Masciarelli, Kolin Foster, and Cameryn Richard, who all lived at the home in Cypress. It was unclear if anyone else lived there, he said.

The home was severely damaged in the Sunday morning fire but not destroyed, KPRC reported. Investigators believe whoever set the fire fled through the back of the house.

The victims had signs of trauma not caused by a fire on their bodies. One of the victims was found on the first floor, and the other two were upstairs.

Investigators towed away a red Corvette parked in the driveway that Foster had recently bought, but, police said, they believe he was not the last person in the vehicle.

“As you can see, you know, the house behind me, it’s still intact. It wasn’t completely burned down. Not everything inside was destroyed. So we have been able to recover some evidence,” Sgt. Michael Ritchie said.

Ritchie told KHOU that investigators has secured surveillance video of the scene.
