Career Criminal Walks Free on Bond After Judge Blocks Him from Having Chainsaw: Report

A 20-year-old Pennsylvania woman was arrested early Tuesday morning after she allegedly stabbed a man when he didn’t answer her text messages.

Jillian West is charged with attempted murder, burglary, and assault in the incident, which took place just before 1:30 a.m., WHP reported. Troopers said West initially claimed she stabbed the victim in self defense but later admitted it wasn’t.

Pennsylvania State Police said the attack was captured on video which showed West banging on the home’s door to get the victim to come outside, then engaging in an argument with him. The argument eventually turned physical, and West was seen trying to get into the home.

The video showed West flashing knife at the victim them putting it back into her pocket. The victim pushed West to ground, apparently to make it possible for him to flee back into the house.

Then, the video shows West pulling out the knife and opening the blade while entering the house. At that point, troopers say, she stabbed him in the chest. The victim called for someone else in the house for help. That person came downstairs and shut the door, leaving West outside, and began giving the victim medical attention.

Court documents say West reentered the house, and all three people got into a physical altercation.

Weset reportedly told troopers that she was upset with the victim because he took hours to respond to her messages. She said she knew where he was and walked to the home to confront him, adding that she pulled the knife out to “try to scare him.”

According to the court documents, she told police that after she thought about it she realized it wasn’t self defense and it was “wrong” to stab the victim.

The victim was flown to a trauma center for treatment. His condition is unknown.

According to WGAL, West was given a $50,000 bail and is still behind bars.
