20-year-old woman charged with murder in teen’s drug overdose death

A 20-year-old Minnesota woman is facing murder charges in the fentanyl overdose death of a teenager.

Allyson Sheffield is charged with third-degree murder for the death of an 18-year-old woman over the summer, police in Duluth said in a press release. Sheffield’s arrest stems from the police investigation into the teen’s fatal overdose that occurred on June 18.
