A toddler fatally shot himself in the parking lot of an AutoZone in St. Louis on Monday afternoon.
Police said the boy had already been taken to the hospital by the time they arrived. He was pronounced dead there, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
The Child Abuse Unit is handling the investigation.
KMOV said the 2-year-old boy was sitting in car when the incident took place.

The shooting took place at about 1 p.m., KTVI said, and the boy’s parents took him to the hospital.
No other information was released.
