‘Credible’ Information Sparks New Search for Georgia Woman Missing Since 2016

Two people have been arrested in connection with a missing Georgia teen who vanished seven years ago, WSB-TV reports.

On Saturday, authorities announced that Johnathan Alexander Warren was taken into custody in Los Angeles on charges of murder, aggravated assault and concealing death, all felonies. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of tampering with evidence.

Meanwhile, Katelyn Goble was arrested in Peoria, Illinois, on felony charges of concealing death and tampering with evidence, according to Fox 5.

The charges come as part of an investigation into the disappearance of 19-year-old Morgan Bauer, who was last seen in February 25, 2016, leaving an adult entertainment club in Gainesville, Georgia, where she worked as a dancer.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, investigators in late July searched a residence in Porterdale, about 80 miles away from Gainesville, looking for evidence linked to the case. The search was prompted after the discovery of new evidence, according to WSB-TV.

A video posted to Bauer’s Instagram on February 26 showed her at a park in Porterdale and a man behind her. The park is reportedly near the home that police searched in July.

Investigators believe that Bauer was murdered and that her body was then dumped, according to 11 Alive. However, authorities have not released details as to how Warren and Goble are allegedly involved in Bauer’s disappearance and death.

“Porterdale Police Officers obtained arrest warrants and two persons have been arrested in this ongoing investigation. Investigators are still actively investigating the case and it is continuing to develop. Investigators are in constant communication with our District Attorney and his Office,” the Porterdale Police Department posted on Facebook Saturday evening.

Bauer moved to the Atlanta area from South Dakota just two weeks before she vanished.

Porterdale is about 35 miles southeast of Atlanta.
