Georgia authorities have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting last month during Albany State University’s homecoming celebrations.

De’Marion Tashawn Daniels, 19, was killed in the shooting on October 19, and four other people were wounded, including a 13-year-old girl. Two other teens, 17- and 16-year-old girls who were students at a local high school, and a 20-year-old woman were also wounded. A 19-year-old woman was injured trying to flee the gunfire but was not shot, WAGA reported.

Jeremy Marshall has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said. The GBI said Marshall is from Albany but did not say if he was a student at the university or any other school in the area.

The fatal victim, Daniels, was not a student.

The shooting took place just before 9 p.m. at a crowded area near a concert on the ASU campus.

The GBI is leading the investigation into the shooting. They did not say if more charges are expected or if they’re looking for other shooters. Investigators have also not revealed a motive.

Marshall is being held without bond, according to jail records.
