‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Star Amy Slaton Arrested After She’s Bitten by Camel at Zoo: Report

Amy Slaton, star of the TLC series “1,000-Lb. Sisters,” was reportedly arrested Monday at a Tennesee zoo for drug possession and child endangerment.

Crockett County police said they smelled a suspicious odor coming from Slaton’s car after responding to reports of a visitor being bitten by a camel at Tennessee Safari Park. TMZ reported that officers determined the smell was related to narcotics, leading to the arrest of Slaton, 36, and Brian Lovvorn, the second person in the vehicle.

While officials have not publicly said what kind of drug Slaton had in her possession, marijuana is legal in Tennessee. Meanwhile, law enforcement sources told TMZ that Slaton was caught with psychedelic mushrooms

The tabloid also obtained pictures that reportedly show Slaton on a stretcher after being bitten by a camel. Slaton was allegedly seen walking around the zoo’s parking lot with a shirt wrapped around her arm.

Slaton was charged with Schedule I and Schedule VI drugs and child endangerment, as two children were reportedly in the car where the drugs were present. Meanwhile, one of the safari park’s owners, Jon Conley, denied claims that a camel bit Slaton — noting there’s no surveillance footage showing the incident.
