Ian Wright has stated that the recently-sacked Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers, would pick Chelsea over Tottenham if he was approached by both clubs.
It has been a whirlwind 24 hours in the life of Premier League managers, with Leicester City booting out Brendan Rodgers and then Graham Potter followed suit hours later on Sunday evening at Stamford Bridge.
Added to those seats being vacant, Tottenham Hotspur, who sacked Antonio Conte during the international break, are also without a new face for next season.

Cristian Stellini, who is Antonio Cone’s right-hand man, has been put in charge until the end of the campaign and he has been tasked with guiding the club to a much-needed top-four finish.
But some big jobs are now on the market, with two London clubs hoping to get the best of the best, especially 35-year-old, Julian Nagelsmann – it’s been claimed that Chelsea have made a move for the Spurs target.
When speaking about the sacking of Brendan Rodgers, Ian Wright stated that the 50-year-old would want, both the Spurs and Chelsea jobs, but he’d pick only one, as he told Premier League Productions (03/04/23 at 2:35 pm).
“No, I don’t think (Rodgers’ reputation has been damaged),” said Wright. “You mention the semi-finals (of Europe for Leicester), the FA Cup and the fact that they finished fifth twice. They played some good stuff.
“I think people will see it and say that he has brought them to a certain place. Then everything has fizzled out.

On Tottenham and Chelsea’s jobs being available: “He would definitely take one of those now – it’s just Spurs’ luck. Spurs sack their manager, and then Chelsea sacks their manager.
“If you are that elite manager, then you are going to go to Chelsea.”

WILL TOTTENHAM’S WAIT NOW COST THEM?
If Chelsea appoint a coach Tottenham want in the summer right now, then the reaction from the Spurs fans will be interesting because their decision to wait until the summer could cost them.
Given that someone like Rodgers has just been sacked by a club fighting relegation, then it wouldn’t be a surprise if either Spurs or Chelsea supporters weren’t keen on the former Liverpool boss.
Yes, he did a stellar job at the King Power Stadium, including winning an FA Cup, but his reputation has now taken a bit of a hit.
