Reports emerge this March that Young Thug’s sister, Angela Grier, has died. Dolly White, his other sister, has since confirmed the loss of a loved one.
Young Thug, real name Jeffery Lamar Williams, remains in jail awaiting trial. He, as well as Gunna and other members of YSL, was charged last May with conspiracy to violate the state’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. Thug took an Alford plea which means the rapper maintained his innocence.
For the near-year that Young Thug has been jailed, his siblings have been by his side. The reported death of his sister, Angela, rocks the entire Williams-Grier family.

Young Thug has ten siblings, all raised by their mother in Atlanta, Georgia. Thug was born on August 16, 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the second youngest, born 10th of the 11 siblings. It is unclear how old Angela Grier would have been, but she is older than Thug, who is 31.
It is known that the children have different biological fathers. Dorothea “Dora” Grier is the youngest of all the children. She and Young Thug share the same father, whose name is Jeffery Williams Sr. “Our mom had 11 kids, but being the two young kids, we experienced a lot of things together,” Dora explained to Complex. “My father and my mom spent a lot of time teaching us stuff. We even made a theme song about the United States and seven continents, so we would always rap the States.”
No cause of death has been given for Angela Grier.
Who are Young Thug’s brothers and sisters?
While Young Thug might be the best-known member of his family, his siblings are also finding success in the music industry.
Unfoonk, real name Quintavious Grier, is Thug’s older brother. In 2019, Unfoonk was released from jail having served 11 years towards a life sentence for murder. A year after his release, Unfoonk signed to his brother’s Young Stoner Life (YSL) Records.

Besides Hora and Angela, Young Thug has a sister named Alexis Grier. She goes by the name Dolly White and is also signed to YSL. They also have a sister called Keisha Grier who keeps a low profile.
It has been reported that they had an older brother who died when Thug was just a child. Their older brother was shot and killed outside the family home in Atlanta.

If you’ve seen any video put out by Young Thug, it’s likely you will have come across Dolly and Dora. The rapper is incredibly close with both sisters. They also accompany him on tour and have featured as guest artists on tracks alongside Thug.
“It’s a great opportunity that he’s given us,” Dolly explained in the Complex interview. “We really, really highly appreciate that from the bottom, inside, upside down.” She added: “We always looked out for each other, and we’re still like that to this day. We’re very family oriented.”
Since news of Angela Grier’s passing broke, Dolly White has reposted condolences sent by friends about losing a “loved one” to her Instagram Stories, seemingly confirming a death in the family has occurred.
“Losing a love[d] one is the hardest pill to swallow,” fellow rapper Lil Gotit wrote to Dolly.
The mother of late rapper Lil Keed, Michelle Woods, also offered her condolences and “prayers” to Dolly White’s family.
