Keir Starmer Arsenal has began to trend online after the 60-year-old was spotted watching the Gunners at the London Stadium.
Sky Sports cameras captured the Leader of the Labour Party in attendance as Arsenal raced into a 2-0 lead against West Ham in east London earlier on Sunday.
So, why was Starmer at the London Stadium? Let’s take a look…

Well, Starmer was simply there to watch his favourite side in action, with the commentators hilariously stating the following after he appeared on the TV screen.
“Well, the leader of the opposition Keir Starmer is here today, but West Ham are the ones labouring.”
The politician is a massive Arsenal fan.
Starmer told the Independent that he has a Sunday game of football “block booked” into his diary as he makes time to take part in the beautiful game, whether that is playing or watching it.
He said: “It’s block booked in the diary. So, once I’m on the pitch, I’m able to put work completely out of my mind and concentrate completely on the game. It’s a complete switch off, because you’re playing the game, you’re in the game.
“That feeling when there’s a goal – if it’s Arsenal, it’s 60,000 people – all different jobs, all from different backgrounds, everyone gets to their feet at the same time with a single emotion. It’s a choreography that’s very difficult to replicate.”
Starmer was also a guest at Stamford Bridge back in November as Arsenal recorded a 1-0 win over Chelsea.
As detailed by the Mirror, he was invited down into the dressing room to meet the Gunners squad after the 90 minutes had ended.
Starmer is surely delighted to see Arsenal sitting top of the Premier League with just seven games remaining after today’s fixture ends.
However – as he will know in his own battles against the Conservatives – there is still a long way to go before anything is done and dusted.
