The gay adult performer known professionally as Shawn Wolfe has sadly passed away at the age of 35.
The performer, whose real name was Shawn Paul Bertrand, was a big name in the world of gay adult performance and was even once featured on the cover of Australia’s LGBTQIA+ magazine DNA.
On December 27, 2022, he tragically passed away due to an alleged drug overdose while residing at a healthcare facility in Seattle, Washington as per Star Observer.

Shawn Paul Bertrand’s life
Aside from his career as an adult actor, Shawn Bertrand’s family seemed to be a big part of his life. He often posted photos of them on social media, like this image of his grandparents at their wedding in the 1950s:
In May 2022, he changed his Facebook profile picture to a photo of him embracing his mother with the caption “I love my momma.”
In a Facebook post, his mother said: “He was an accomplished swimmer, lover of photography, animals, and everything nature.”
His Instagram grid appears to back this up as it is filled mainly with photos of trees, landscapes, and animals.
According to his Facebook page, Shawn studied Linguistics at Tacoma Community College and was seemingly single at the time of his passing.
His mom announced his passing on Facebook
A woman named Valerie Wellner, who has identified herself as Shawn’s mother, announced the sad news in a Facebook post. She wrote: “I love you my son.”

In another post, published on December 30, she went into more detail about the situation.
The post read: “As most of you know, Shawn passed away from a drug overdose on December 27th. He was at someone’s home whom we don’t know where that was or who he was with. This is not a message of blame.”
She added: “Shawn was also staying at Bailey Boucher house shelter, and we have retrieved what belongings that were there.”
Wellner has been posting actively on social media since and has shared multiple tributes to her son and insights into her grieving process.
In a post from December 29, she wrote: “December 27, 2022, we received the phone call that No Parent should ever have to receive. There is so much to say and it’s too emotionally brutal to describe adequately today.”

Tributes and messages of support have been flooding the comments section of Shawn Wolfe’s social media pages.
On his final Instagram post, which pictured him sitting in front of a Christmas tree, one fan commented: “Saddened to see this news. My most heartfelt sympathies go out to all who knew and loved him.”. While another fan said: “Will be missed, Thank You for sharing your life with us.”
Adult director Chi Chi LaRue commemorated Wolfe on Facebook, writing, “Another wonderful human being gone too soon.”
