Gerald Tommaso DeLouise, widely known as Burt Young, was an actor born on April 30, 1940, in New York City.
Before pursuing a career in acting, Young served in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1959.
When Young returned home, he studied at the Actors Studio under Lee Strasberg.
In 1970, Young received his first acting role as Gimpy in Carnival of Blood.

It wasn’t until 1976 that Young landed his breakout role as Rocky Balboa’s brother Paulie in the hit film series, Rocky.
Young went on to appear in all six adaptations of the movie.

On October 18, 2023, it was reported that Young passed away.
His daughter, Anne Morea Steingieser, confirmed his death via the New York Times revealing he passed on October 8.
