STAR Trek icon William Shatner’s life has been full of exciting adventures – he’s even the world’s oldest person to go to space.
But in his recent documentary You Can Call me Bill, he revealed he believes he “doesn’t have long left to live.”

Who is William Shatner?
Shatner is a Canadian native who is most famously known for portraying the role of Kirk in the Star Trek franchise.
According to IMDB, Shatner has roughly 250 acting credits to his name and has a lengthy 70-plus years in front of the camera.
His career started in 1951 and over time, he has been able to accumulate an estimated net worth of $100 million.
He has had a successful career as an actor, author, producer, director, screenwriter, and singer.
Shatner recently made the documentary You Can Call me Bill as a way to reach out to his grandchildren after he dies, he told Variety.
“I’ve turned down a lot of offers to do documentaries before. But I don’t have long to live,” he revealed.

Shatner was born in Montreal, Canada on March 22, 1931, making him 91 years old today.
Just a week before his birthday, Shatner will hit the impressive age of 92 in less than a week.

Because of his age, he became the oldest person to fly in space with the Blue Origin launch.
The Star Trek captain previously launched into space and back as a passenger aboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin New Shepard vehicle.
The flight took place on October 12, 2021.
He beat 84-year-old Wally Funk as the oldest person to fly into space, grabbing the title for himself.

What did William Shatner say about going into space in 2021?
Shatner spoke about his adventure at New York’s Comic-Con during his panel, revealing that he was terrified to go into space.
“My friend Jason Erhlick came to me about a year and a half ago and he said he was seeing these rockets with people going into space. And, wouldn’t it be something if Captain Kirk went up there?” Shatner said.
“And I said, ‘Jason, for God’s sake, man. Nobody cares if Captain Kirk goes to space. It was 55 years ago, man. But I’m doing well, maybe I should go up to space?”
Following Bezos’ historic trip to space in 2021, the conversation then became more real for the Star Trek star.
When talking about his trip to Texas for training, he then recalled Star Trek’s 1986 Challenger crash that killed all the astronauts on board.
He continued: “And I’m thinking, ‘I’m going up in a rocket and our best guess is it should be fine? I’m terrified. I’m Captain Kirk, and I’m terrified. I’m not really terrified — yes I am.”
