On December 8, 2022, it was revealed Sabrina Morrissey was appointed Wendy Williams’ legal financial guardian.
Born on October 3, 1964, Sabrina is a New York City-based attorney from Carrollton, Georgia.
She operates an eponymous law firm located in Manhattan.
Specifically, her areas of expertise are; guardianships, estate administration, and elder abuse cases.
Sabrina is also the President of the New York Women’s Bar Association.
She is an alumnus of both West Georgia College and New York University.
Regarding Sabrina’s financial guardianship over Wendy, an insider told The U.S. Sun: “This isn’t like a Britney Spears conservatorship.
“This is a financial guardian. This is someone who is watching over her finances, who is making sure that the decisions that are happening with her accounts are in her best interest.
“When Wendy asks for something to happen, the guardian is making sure it is in her own financial best interest first.
“Her accounts are now handled between the guardian, Ms. Williams, and the court.”

The source added: “The court can eventually decide to give Wendy back full control over her accounts and end the guardianship…but that is up to the court.
“She still has a voice and she still has a say. She doesn’t have 100 percent control right now, that could all change depending on what the court decides.”
How did Wendy’s family respond to her financial trouble?
While discussing Wendy’s battle with her health and finances, her son Kevin Hunter Jr. told The U.S. Sun: “I don’t feel like Sabrina has done a great job at all.
“I think that based on her actions, I’d have to assume something is going on that she’s not telling me.
“What’s been made more important by the people around her is that while her health may not be great, she needs to keep on earning income.
“In my opinion, that should not be a priority at all.
“Whoever has been hired, they are taking advantage of someone who needs to get better.
“There are a lot of people who are very aware that there is an issue with her drinking and how that issue may be helped.
“But I think these people are taking advantage of it while allowing it to play out to make it look like they aren’t causing the issue.
“It’s been really sad what’s been allowed to happen and ever since the court hearings ended, something just has to be brought to light about what’s going on and how much people are taking in this situation.”
He further shared: “In terms of who is there now, people have put other things in front of her actually healing and getting better.
“And unfortunately, unlike many other alcoholics, she is worth a lot more money.
“I know that Sabrina has a relationship with the jeweler [Will Shelby] and I would assume though that they are cool with each other.
“This is how this was created and it seems like it’s more about making sure he [Will] is okay. She [Sabrina] is really vague with updates.
“Whether it be that she [Sabrina] is receiving income on the side or what, but there is a lot of her pushing away of myself and everybody down here, and saying that she’s not going to give updates.”
