Who is NLE Choppa?
Rapper NLE Choppa, whose real name is Bryson Lashun Potts, was born on November 1, 2002.
Currently managed by Warner Records, Tennessee-based NLE Choppa rose to fame after dropping his 2019 track, Shotta Flow.
In an interview with XXL, the rapper revealed he grew up listening to rap artists like Lil Wayne and NBA YoungBoy. He started taking music seriously, with the intention of pursuing a career, at age 16.
Since then, the hip-hop artist has garnered over 6 million followers on Instagram, has over 18.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
His second album, Cottonwood 2, dropped in April 2023. His single, College Girls, was released in September.
Following personal struggles during the Covid-19 pandemic, NLE made some changes to his personal life, including taking up a vegan diet.
The birth of his daughter, Clover Brylie Potts, in June 2020, changed his perspective on life and encouraged him “to be a better person.”

Angela Potts, born December 13, 1976, is an accountant and real estate investor from Memphis, Tennessee.
Potts who goes by Momma Choppa, often posts images and promotions of her son’s work on her Instagram account, @Angeletapotts.
What did Angela Potts say about her son’s whereabouts?
Fans were concerned after Potts took to social media and revealed her son was missing on October 20, 2023.
The Memphis rapper’s mother begged readers to pray for her child.
“I ain’t talked to this boy in hours and he usually doesn’t do this. One thing I know about my son is that he doesn’t go ghost for any reason,” she wrote.
Potts added that he plans to move back to Cottonwood, where he grew up, to work on a new mixtape.
It was also the namesake of his breakthrough 2019 EP.
