Who is Dina Pugliese?
The 49-year-old host was famous for being on Toronto’s Breakfast Television (BT) morning show where she started in 2006.
She is of Italian descent but has lived in Toronto since graduating from university.
Pugliese landed a huge role as the host of Canada’s Got Talent in 2011 and she also became the spin offs host Canadian’s Family Got talent.
At the start of 2023, the star announced that her presenting days were over after 16 years as she left BT breakfast in February so she could have a rest and travel the world with her husband.
She said burn out was a major reason.
As a darling of Canadian TV, Pugliese has had the honour of being presented with a Key to the City of Vaughan by Mayor Steven Del Duca in 2023 for her outstanding contribution to the entertainment industry.
She was also given a Gemini Award nomination in her first year as a broadcaster for Best Host in a Lifestyle/Practical Information or Performing Arts Program or Series for MuchMusic VJ Search – The Series.
Nowadays she is the Clean Beauty Founder of The Care Principle, a company that specialises in woman’s skincare and make up products.

Who is Dina Pugliese’s husband Alek Mirkovich?
Dina is married to Alek Mirkovich, the Co-Founder and CEO of Pathway – an automated digital marketing tool for insurance brokers.
The pair first met at Dina’s work where she approached Alek from across the room and gave him her number.
Alek eagerly called the next morning and they talked for hours before going for drinks the next day.
In an Instagram post from Pugliese’s account she spoke about their happy marriage.
She wrote: “It’s been 18 years of blessings and all of the ups and downs life brings.
“Aleks proposed in Niagara on the Lake, just 6 months after we met… I had NO clue and also I had no hesitation.
“I knew he was the one from date one.
“The every day things make us most happy. Like sharing in long breakfasts while hearing birds chirp their sweet melody or to see sunrises and sunsets.
“No matter what life throws our way, there is no one I would rather go through all of the ups and downs with, than you.”
The couple have been together for almost two decades and have started to explore the world together now they have both escaped work commitments.
They currently have no children.
