Over the years, Lupita has been linked to several stars, including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender, Jared Leto, Michael B. Jordan, and Janelle Monáe, however, she has never confirmed having a relationship with them.

K’Naan
Lupita had a brief romance with Wavin’ Flag rapper Keinan Abdi Warsame, known as K’naan, in 2014.
Not much is known about their relationship but an insider revealed the split to Us Weekly in January 2015, after she was seen getting “very flirty” with Jared at the SAG Awards.

Online reports claim that they had known each other since 2016, so it is unclear when the pair actually began dating.
Due to Lupita’s private nature, not much is known about the relationship, however, she seemingly confirmed it was over in October 2023.

In the post, which was published on October 19, she wrote: “There are much more important things going on in the world right now, and my thoughts are with those who are deeply suffering.

“At this moment, it is necessary for me to share a personal truth and publicly dissociate myself from someone I can no longer trust.
“I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.”
Lupita continued: “I am tempted to run into the shadows and hide, only to return to the light when I have regained my strength enough for me to say, ‘Whatever, my life is better this way.’ But I am reminded that the magnitude of the pain I am feeling is equal to the measure of my capacity for love.
“And so, I am choosing to face the pain, cultivating the courage to meet my life exactly as it is, and trusting that this too shall pass.
“The promise, they say, is that a tender heart is what gives birth to fearlessness. I hope it’s true… I share this to keep it 💯, and hoping that the knowledge of my experience might be useful to someone else out there experiencing the grip of heartbreak who is poised to try and escape from the pain and miss out on the wisdom that comes from it,” she concluded.
The statement was followed by the hashtag, #Breakup.
At this time, Selema has not addressed the split.

Many were shocked when Lupita seemingly confirmed the breakup, however, fans believe she has already moved on.
The post was made shortly after Lupita was spotted with actor Joshua Jackson at a Janelle Monáe concert in Los Angeles, California.
Joshua, who is known for portraying the role of Pacey Witter on Dawson’s Creek, is also going through a major breakup.
His wife, Jodie Turner-Smith, filed for divorce at the start of October 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to People.
Despite the speculation, neither Lupita nor Joshua have confirmed a relationship.
