Per the publication, he claimed that Francesco “has repeatedly made threats to harm both him and their famous father in recent months.”
Emilio said he and Frankie feared for their safety after Francesco tried to break into the latter’s property on April 5.
“Frankie is saddened by these unfortunate events and appreciates that his privacy will be respected as he works out these family issues,” a representative for Valli told People.
The filing was obtained by the outlet and said that while waiting for police to arrive following the attempted break-in, Francesco “repeatedly physically threatened to harm or kill” both Frankie and Emilio, which the family says is “part of a pattern for the past several months.”
Emilio noted in the filing that the family thinks Francesco is “addicted to opiates,” and that while Frankie has been offering Franceso financial support, he will now only do so if Francesco agrees to enter a residential drug treatment program, per People.
He also says his brother has destroyed Frankie’s property and also stole, then sold, his personal items, per the filing.
“Since cutting off [Francesco] financially, [Francesco’s] threats have escalated as well as the sale of personal property of our father, and increased attempts to access the property of our father,” Emilio wrote in his filing.
People reported that a Los Angeles judge “signed off on an order of protection for Frankie and Emilio against Francesco” on Monday, April 29, 2024.
The order will last for three years, until April 29, 2027.
According to the outlet, the order “says Francesco, 36, must not contact either Frankie or Emilio, and must stay at least 100 yards away from their homes and workplaces.”
