WHEEL of Fortune host Pat Sajak has mocked a player’s voice during Vanna White’s absence.
The commotion started on last Friday’s episode when player Bret attempted to solve the puzzle Around The House.

After shouting off a random letter, guest-co-host Bridgette Donald-Blue lit up the puzzle board.
Bret became excited as he shouted: “I’d like to buy a vowel!”
The Wheel of Fortune host mocked the player’s enthusiasm and yelled: “Yeah?”
Pat toned his voice down: “I mean, yeah.”
After Bret shouted another letter, Pat continued mocking him: “Could you say that again?”
The contestant continued shouting until the buzzer rang.
Meanwhile, the 2023 California Teacher of the Year has been filling in while Vanna, 66, has been missing from the program.
Pat’s co-host has been absent as she recovers from her Covid-19 diagnosis.
Vanna is scheduled to miss Teachers Week, which started Monday, October 2, 2023, and will end on Friday, October 6.
On Tuesday, October 3, Vanna’s co-star explained to the audience: “You’ll notice Vanna is not here, and I have to say that Ms. White has tested positive for Covid.

“That’s the bad news. The good news is I talked to her just a little while ago, and she feels fine.
Pat closed: “She has a little sniffle. But she tested positive and that’s the way it goes, so she will not be with us here this week.”
Vanna is expected to return to her co-hosting role on Monday, October 9.
Her absence came at a touchy time after she finally signed a new contract in mid-September.
After lengthy salary talks, she decided to continue on the beloved game show through the 2025-2026 season, according to Deadline.
Although it is unclear how much the TV star will be earning, TMZ reported Vanna White will receive a “substantial pay increase” with the deal.
In the meantime, Pat is heading towards his last episodes as the current Season 41 unfolds.
In June, the legendary host announced his retirement after 40 years of hosting the popular game show.
Announced via Instagram, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, 49, will take over for Pat after his final season.
Vanna will co-host for at least two years with Pat’s successor, Ryan.
In the meantime, Pat’s daughter, Maggie Sajak, 26, will remain on the show as the social media correspondent until 2025.
She has also hosted The Spin segments for the beloved show.
Fans believe Maggie should replace Vanna when the letter-turner retires.
