ELON Musk has revealed that he had an 11th baby with Canadian singer Grimes.
The couple’s baby Tau joins girl Y and older brother X in the SpaceX founder’s growing family.

Musk confirmed the son’s name is Tau Techno Mechanicus on a post on his social media.
Tau is now the 11th child after the birth of baby daughter Y and son X.
What do Elon Musk’s children’s names mean?
Tau Techno Mechanicus
The baby was first disclosed after the New York Times reported his existence based on Musk’s upcoming biography.
He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to confirm his son’s name.
The billionaire wrote: “Tau Techno Mechanicus. Circumference/Diameter.”
Although Musk hasn’t officially explained the meaning behind it, people have been speculating.
The first part Techno could be a reference to electronic music.
Mechanicus – derived from the Greek word meaning mechanic – could possibly mean mechanical expertise.
Both words put together may be a hint to Musk and Grimes respective careers.
Exa Dark Sideræl Musk
Grimes accidentally announced the news of the couple’s baby girl Y in an interview with Vanity Fair.
She attempted to hide her daughter’s birth from the public, but the secret was revealed when a baby was heard crying upstairs during the interview.
Daughter of the musician and 50-year-old Tesla boss, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk will be called Y for short. She joins older brother X Æ A-12, who is similarly referred to as X.

According to Vanity Fair, Grimes and Musk named their daughter Exa Dark Sideræl because Exa comes from the computing term exaFlops.
The middle part of the name, Dark, refers to the beautiful unknown mystery of dark matter in the universe.
And Sideræl, pronounced “sigh-deer-ee-el” is “a more elven” take on the word sidereal which means star or deep space time, an alternative to earth time.

Sidereal means “The true time of the universe, star time, deep space time, not our relative earth time,” Grimes explained.
It is also a nod to Grimes’ favourite character Galadriel, from Lord of the Rings.
X Æ A-12
Y’s older brother was originally named X Æ A-12 but Musk and Grimes had to change it to X AE A-XII to remove the Æ and 12 so that his birth certificate would comply with California law.
Baby Y is the latest addition to Elon Musk’s growing brood. The entrepreneur who is reportedly the richest man in the world, has a total of seven children: Exa Dark Sideræl, X Æ A-12, Xavier, Griffin, Kai, Saxon and Damian.

After Elon Musk and his wife Justine Wilson lost their first son Nevada Alexander Musk at 10 weeks old in 2002, the couple went on to use IVF and the couple welcomed twin boys Xavier and Griffin in April 2004.

In January 2006 Musk and Wilson welcomed three more boys, triplets named Saxon, Kai and Damian. Two years later Wilson and Musk divorced, they now share custody of their five teenage sons.
When did Grimes give birth to Elon Musk’s children?
X and Y are the only children Musk and Grimes have together. Y’s birth in December comes just months after the couple reportedly split up.
In reference to the split, Canadian singer Grimes, real name Claire Boucher told Vanity Fair: “I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time.”
Grimes gave birth to her first child X on May, 4, 2020, after beginning a relationship with Elon Musk in 2018.
Their second child, Y was born in December 2021 via surrogate.
She also revealed that the couple plan to have more children “We’ve always wanted at least three or four.”
