Ian Wright has praised Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson on Match of the Day on BBC One (10:38pm, March 4, 2023) for his goal against Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Nelson came on as a substitute in the second half to help Arsenal to a 3-2 comeback win against Bournemouth.
The Gunners were 2-0 down at one stage.
The winger came on as a substitute in the second half and immediately provided the assist for Ben White’s goal.
Then late in the match, the 23-year-old scored a brilliant goal.
It left former Arsenal star and MOTD pundit Wright impressed.

Wright said: “And then this happens, on his weaker foot as well. Oh my gosh, unbelievable!
“I am so happy for him, for everything that has happened to him at Arsenal.”

Excellent
In our view, Reiss Nelson had one of his best games for Arsenal so far in his career.
We know that the winger has had injury problems during his time at the Gunners so far.
And he has been out on loan as well.
Nelson is essentially a squad player at Arsenal at the moment, but the Emirates Stadium faithful will have been proud to see a Hale End graduate score such a big winner.
There was pressure on the Gunners to win against Bournemouth after Manchester City’s victory over Newcastle United earlier on Saturday.
And the players delivered.
