BRITTANY Cartwright has puzzled fans after she revealed plans to co-host a party with Jax Taylor despite the couple’s split.
On Saturday, the Vanderpump Rules star posted a flyer to her Instagram Stories inviting fans to a Saint Patrick’s Day party at Jax’s Studio City.
Brittany’s promotional post read, “Come Celebrate! March 17, 2024,” and advertised “VIP Tables,” “Leprechaun Shots,” “Green Beer,” and “Jameson Specials.”
Much to the surprise of fans, the Bravo star revealed that she would be teaming up with her estranged husband as the holiday event would be “hosted by Jax and Brittany.”
Recently, a staff member at the couple’s Studio City bar told The U.S. Sun that Brittany hadn’t made an appearance since the couple’s split.
Brittany, 35, announced her split from Jax, 44, on February 29 after four years of marriage.
In October, the then-couple opened their new Los Angeles sports bar Jax’s Studio City.
Staff has exclusively revealed that Brittany has not made an appearance at the bar since the shocking announcement.
“She has not come by,” a staff member told The U.S. Sun when asked if they’ve seen Brittany since she and Jax separated.
Meanwhile, everything seems to be operating as normal since fans eagerly waited outside for the restaurant to open over the weekend.
“Jax is more involved in the business and is in a few times a week depending on his schedule,” the staff shared.
Staff had nothing but positive things to say about their boss, and also said Brittany was just as nice and even helped decorate the restaurant.
THE SPLIT
Last month, Brittany revealed she left Jax on her and her ex’s joint podcast When Reality Hits.
“Many of you guys have been asking me about Jax and I and our relationship,” The 35-year-old said on the latest episode. “I just think it’s important to be real and honest with you guys, because we’ve shared so much of our lives with you guys.
Brittany confessed to alluding to her marriage issues before.
“Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year.”
She then broke the news.
“Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”
Brittany and Jax share 2-year-old son Cruz.
It’s not yet known if the end of their relationship will play out when their Vanderpump Rules spinoff, The Valley, debuts next month.
“I’m taking one day at a time,” she finished. “I don’t know what the future holds, but right now my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz.”
EARLIER DENIALS
Days before the announcement, Jax clapped back against rumors of their breakup.
Some fans speculated a breakup after noticing the two stopped posting photos with each other on social media.
“Is him and Brittany not together anymore?” one follower commented on Jax’s Instagram post.
The Bravo star responded, “why would you say that,, i can’t take a trip without my wife for work… [eyeroll emoji].”
Another fan commented back, stating there were rumors Jax had another “Vegas fiasco” and potentially cheated on his wife – something that happened during his time on Vanderpump.
Jax clapped back, “wow…. after everything that happened… seriously.”
Brittany and Jax tied the knot at their Kentucky wedding in 2019, which was filmed for VPR, and welcomed their son Cruz in April 2021.
While Jax was an original cast member of the Bravo spin-off, starring Lisa Vanderpump, he was fired from the series in 2020 after Season 8.
The decision came after past racist actions against former co-star Faith Stowers resurfaced.
Despite their firing, Jax was shown in the trailer for Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, which began airing in late January.
VALLEY VIEW
Now, Jax and Brittany are gearing up for the premiere of their new Bravo show, The Valley, which has been met with mixed emotions from fans.
The Valley stars three former VPR cast members: Jax, Brittany, and original VPR star Kristen Doute, 40.
Kristen was also fired from the show in 2020, however, she resurfaced at the end of Season 10 to console her friend Ariana Madix amid the revelation of “Scandoval.”
In the trailer, the trio looked ready to make their official comeback to Bravo in the brand-new show.
The trailer showed Jax on a miniature Ford Bronco for kids as he went around waving to his neighbors, which included Kristen and her boyfriend, Luke Broderick.
Jax was dressed up in a gray suit with black gloves, while Kristen entered the frame wearing a red sequin dress.
Brittany was featured toward the end of the trailer, telling Jax to “stop messing around and mow the dang yard” while wearing a multicolored sequin gown.
Other couples were also featured in the trailer, with the narrator explaining that the series will show them “taking a shot at adulting.”
