Callum Wilson has spoken highly of Aaron Ramsdale after his superhuman display for Arsenal in their 2-2 draw against Liverpool.
The £24 million (Athletic) man was a man possessed throughout the contest, and if it was not for his incredible collection of saves, Jurgen Klopp’s men could perhaps have walked away with a victory.
As a result, Callum Wilson was full of praise for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale against Liverpool.

The England international made an astoundingly good save to keep Ibrahima Konate out right at the death to ensure that the Gunners leave Anfield with a point.

However, Ramsdale has been virtually flawless throughout the campaign, emerging as perhaps one of his side’s most underappreciated performers.

“I think you [Liverpool] should have won it. The centre=back, [Ibrahima] Konate, last minute of the game, Ramsdale unbelievable save. It’s on the goal line basically the defender, and he’s scooped to chest it, it’s such an awkward height for him a striker would knee it in. Ramsdale has gone flying across the goal and saved it, unbelievable save.”

While Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus fired the league leaders into a 2-0 lead within half an hour, Jurgen Klopp and Co. not only dominated the 2nd half but somehow, left with a draw despite battering the visitors.
The key reason for that was Arsenal shotstopper Aaron Ramsdale against Liverpool, as Callum Wilson rightly pointed out.
If Mikel Arteta’s men aim to make history to winning the Premier League for the first team after 19 years, they will need Ramsdale to maintain his excellent form until the end of the season as they are set to face a number of top sides.
