ACTOR Tyrese Gibson has been taken into custody for not paying child support.
He is the dad to five-year-old Soraya with his ex-wife Samantha Lee.
TMZ reports that Tyrese, 45, attended a hearing on Monday morning and it did not go well for him.
The actor was ordered to pay $10,000 a month, beginning in April 2023, but Tyrese refused.
However, TMZ states that Tyrese has been paying his ex something, but only $2,200 each month, which is much less than was asked of him.
Tyrese was held in contempt of court and was put in handcuffs.
The actor was then marched out of the courtroom.
However, Judge Kevin Farmer told the outlet that Tyrese could avoid jail if he pays $73,000.
$7,500 of that will go to Samantha’s attorney.
A source told TMZ that Tyrese is making arrangements to pay the $73,000, so he shouldn’t be in jail much longer.
Tyrese and Samantha got divorced in 2020, after tying the knot in 2017.
The actor also shares a daughter, born in 2007, with his ex-wife, Norma Mitchell.

Tyrese must have seen the arrest coming because he made an alarming video about his baby momma on Sunday on Instagram.
“I have never been arrested in my life because I haven’t done anything wrong,” he began the video.
Tyrese went on to say that his exes were “playing the victim.”

He also said they called him a narcissist and that he manipulated them.
“I got baby mama drama,” he said.
“If you are born a man and you go into a courtroom, you understand there is a preset menu that says ‘You are born a man, f**k you’.”
Tyrese took a swipe at Samantha’s lawyers and wondered why they didn’t ask to see his bank statements, which he said could show that he paid the child support.
The singer claims that they only looked at his IMDb page and saw him as a “cash cow to milk.”
Tyrese also said that he and Samantha had a pre-nup which spelled out everything that she was supposed to get.
The actor said that he has been dealing with this for four years and three different lawyers.
“I’ve never not taken care of my kids,” Tyrese claimed.
“If they want to arrest me, f**k it. I’ll go.”
