Tributes have been pouring in for Rob Luna, an esports star and YouTuber, who has passed away.
The news of his death was confirmed by the news outlet spin.ph, as well as several of Luna’s friends, such as Bennette Felix, who shared a post in honour of Luna on Facebook.
Luna, from the Philippines, is best known for his work as a shoutcaster in the MPL and is well-known in the Mobile Legends (ML) online community. Luna’s cause of death is currently unknown.

Following the news of Luna’s death, tributes began to pour in on Twitter from the esports community. Many shared their condolences with his family, while others looked back at his career and talent.
“WHAT?? ROB LUNA????? RIP 🙁 condolence to ml community… he will be sorely missed,” one fan said.
“Gone too soon… Watching MLBB tournaments will never be the same. May your soul rest in peace, Sir Rob Luna,” another wrote.
A third tweeted: “RIP boss Rob Luna one of the best shoutcaster in PH. Condolence to his family.”
“So sad,” another fan said. “After hearing that Rob Luna passed away. He is one of the reason why I watch MPL when he cast the M2 World Championship Finals. May you rest in peace Rob.”

The Facebook page of the esports team shared a tribute for Luna, calling him a “remarkable individual”.

“Throughout his life, Rob accomplished so much and left an indelible mark on the E-Sports Industry. He was a true icon and a visionary whose talents and contributions transcended in ML Community,” the post read.
Luna’s “kindness, generosity, and compassion” beyond his professional achievements were mentioned, as well as is “unwavering commitment” to making the world a better place.
The post finished: “We are deeply saddened by his passing, but we take comfort in knowing that his legacy will endure. Rob was a true legend, and he will be missed by many. Rest in peace, Rob Luna.”
What was Rob Luna known for?
Luna was best known for being a shoutcaster in esports tournaments. This is someone who discusses the game play and describes it- similar to a commentator in sports.
He had 195K subscribers on YouTube and was also present on Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and Instagram. His biography on Instagram reads: “Creating videos that makes people smile one at a time.”
According to his Twitter page, Luna was also in charge of Chief Business Development at ULVL.
