Tributes are flooding in for rapper Semie Homie after death reports claim the Washington DC artist was fatally injured in a triple shooting on Tuesday night (February 21, 2023).
Three men were injured in a triple shooting late Tuesday night in Northeast Washington DC. One male died of his injuries and the other two men were hospitalized, reports local news.
The victim who passed away has been confirmed as Semie Homie, according to numerous hip hop news outlets. Semie Homie was an up-and-coming DMV rapper. His last post on Instagram was just one week ago, promoting his latest single, Deja Vu.

Semi Homie reportedly dead after Washington DC shooting
The shooting occured at 10:36pm in the 1400 block of Saratoga Avenue Northeast, clarifes The Washington Post. Early reports claim the shooting took place around the corner on Montana Avenue Northeast.
Authories says one of the victims was unconscious and not breathing when officers arrived. He was transported to the hospital where he later passed away.
The victim was identified as 21-year-old Jayvon Jones and Killmoenetwork received confirmation that Semi Homie was the male who was shot and killed in the event.
The two other victims are currently being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made and motives behind the incident are unknown. Police announced in a news release that they are offering an award of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Fans and Semi Homie’s fellow rappers have posted heartfelt tributes in honor of the blossoming musician.
DMV artist, DJ Key, called Semie Home “one of the hottest upcoming DC artists” in his Instagam post: “Sending our condolences for their love ones.”
Semi’s cousin, Rae, reflected on their best moments together on her Story, which included the rapper lipsyncing to an R&B song. “I love you forever cousin. You broke my heart with this,” she commented on his final upload.
“Rip Semi. We lost a real good talented rapper DMV,” Raphoust TV wrote on Twitter.
One fan commented: “Tragic loss for DMV music! The loss of Semi Homie is devastating. R.I.P. Semi.”
