Darren Bent says ‘Tottenham Hotspur won’t’ sell Harry Kane to Graham Potter’s Chelsea and help them decide the future of Romelu Lukaku, as he told talkSPORT.
The former Tottenham striker pointed out how Chelsea fans don’t want Romelu Lukaku to return to their colours, even though those within Inter Milan have stated that the 29-year-old will be back at his parent club in the summer, as reported by Sky Sports.
Following his £98 million transfer move to Chelsea during the summer of 2021 (Sky Sports), Lukaku proceeded to have a disastrous return to a place that kicked off his career in English football when he was a teenager.

The hard-hitting forward only scored eight Premier League goals, including a troublesome interview where he criticised then-manager, Thomas Tuchel.
All in all, it resulted in him going back to Inter this summer, where injuries have stagnated his performances, and with Chelsea looking for an out-and-out nine, who do they turn to?
If the big-spending Blues can get someone through the doors, then it will be easier to part ways with Lukaku, but as Darren Bent mentioned, there aren’t many options out there for the West London club and someone like Harry Kane is off the table.
“He (Lukaku) was meant to be the final piece of the jigsaw,” said Bent. “He spent two years at Inter Milan, where he got 23 league goals in his first season and 24 in his second season, then eight goals in the league for Chelsea last year, it wasn’t great.
“Then, he has five in all competitions this year. I think he has had a few injuries. When you start looking around. What can you find that’s better than him? I think you will struggle.

“You look at the market for strikers. They aren’t going to get Harry Kane. Tottenham won’t sell them, Harry Kane. Lewandowski is getting older. Benzema is getting older. Haaland is at Man City.
“Unless they are going to break the bank and get Mbappe. Osimhen is the other one. A lot of people are in for. A lot of Chelsea fans will sit here and say ‘absolutely not, (we won’t take Lukaku back), he was terrible for us. He did that interview and I don’t want him back’.”

ONE LAST CHANCE FOR LUKAKU?
When your confidence and performances are on the floor, the last thing you need is for injuries to keep biting at you and stopping you from getting back to your best.
That’s what has hindered Lukaku this season, as he showcased at the 2022 Qatar World Cup when Belgium were booted out of the group stages and the unforgettable final group game.
Perhaps, under a new manager in Potter with more attacking players around him, Lukaku will be handed one last chance to shine at Bridge, because if Inter don’t want him back and Chelsea will look to move him on, then his career will be at a crossroads.
