Tottenham Hotspur are still in pursuit of a new permanent manager in wake of Antonio Conte’s sacking.
Plenty of names have been linked with the Spurs hotseat, including Mauricio Pochettino and Julian Nagelsmann.
Thomas Frank‘s name has also been doing the rounds in wake of his outstanding efforts at Brentford.

In March, the Daily Record claimed Frank was an early favourite to become the next Tottenham manager.
Now, Alasdair Gold has corroborated the speculation linking the 49-year-old to Spurs.
He told a football.london Q&A that Tottenham had “definitely” looked at Frank.
However, Gold wondered whether the Dane’s lack of silverware could count against him.
“Thomas Frank will definitely have been looked at,” said the Tottenham expert.
“He’s done a great job at Brentford but I wonder whether Spurs see him as enough of a name or trophy winner.
“They seem to have been drawn to those types in recent years.”
‘Nice and flattering’
Frank has previously admitted that he is flattered by Tottenham’s interest.

He did say he’s very happy at Brentford, but the 49-year-old did not rule out moving to Spurs either.
When asked about the Tottenham rumours, he told ViaPlay, as quoted by Bold.dk: “I’m also just a human being, so of course it’s nice and flattering.
“But I have to focus on Brentford and I’m insanely happy to be here. I say that constantly to my staff and my players.
“Managers are being fired everywhere, so it is an indication that it’s not working. I really appreciate being at Brentford.”

Our view
Frank has done an “incredible” job at Brentford and he looks like a good shout for a step up in his career.
Let’s hope Tottenham try a different tact instead of going for another marquee serial winner of a manager.
Pochettino wasn’t a trophy-laden manager when he joined Spurs from Southampton.
Frank to Tottenham would be an appointment in a similar vein.
Spurs need a hungry manager who wants to grow with the club, not one who seems to think he’s doing the club a favour by being there.
