Tony Cascarino has written in The Times that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp is good enough to play for any club in the Premier League top four and has hailed his performance against Graham Potter’s Chelsea at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
The former Chelsea star was hugely impressed by how Skipp played for Tottenham against the Blues in the London derby.
Spurs won 2-0 against Chelsea at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
Skipp scored the first goal for Spurs in the opening minute of the second half.
The 22-year-old was brilliant in the middle of the park and produced a very dynamic performance.
Tony Cascarino on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp
Cascarino wrote: “Oliver Skipp, on current form, is good enough to play in the midfield of a top-four club.
“He came into the Tottenham Hotspur starting XI against AC Milan two weeks ago and has settled into the side really quickly.
“He put in another fine all-round performance against Chelsea, getting the better of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Enzo Fernández. He deserved his goal.

“Rodrigo Bentancur is out for months and Skipp is only 22, so he is set to be a crucial player for Tottenham this season and beyond.”

Impressive
In our view, Oliver Skipp has been superb for Tottenham Hotspur in recent matches and does seem to have a bright future.
It is only due to injury to Rodrigo Bentancur that Skipp is getting his chance now.
And he is making the most of it.
The 22-year-old is producing mature displays and is doing his job perfectly.
Now, of course, given that Skipp is only 22, he is bound to make mistakes.
When that happens, the Tottenham fans have to be patient with him.
