CARSON Daly has posted another series of cryptic quotes about his future.
The versatile NBC host has long dropped hints and clues he could be ready to leave the Today show.
Carson, who seems to have been missing an increasing amount of screen time from the show, shared some quotes to his Instagram stories.
While they were posted without any context, they did eerily seem to reveal his restlessness with his current career path.
“You can literally feel in your soul when it’s TIME,” he shared.
“Time to move on from people, time to make a change in your life, time to get rid of unhealthy habits, time to want MORE for yourself. At some point, you’ll just know.”
He followed that up with another quote looking forward to the future.
“Six months from now, you’re going to look back at your life and say, ‘I really did believe in myself, and it worked.'”
DALY STRUGGLES
This isn’t the first time Carson had posted cryptic sayings to his Stories.
A few days after his absence from Today, due to the Emmys, he shared a quote about life being unbearable.
The picture a woman facing backward with a quote above her.
“You’re going to be okay,” the quote, attributed to chronic illness & disability advocate Daniell Koepke, started.
“I know it feels unbearable right now, but keep breathing, again and again.”
WHERE IN THE WORLD
Carson missed nearly the entire month of December from Today, and has already been absent multiple times this new year.
His absences typically come when he hosts live episodes of The Voice on the west coast.
However, Carson has been M.I.A. a few times this month.
On January 15, Carson was in California as he and his wife, Siri, 43, attended the Emmy awards.
The Voice was nominated for best reality competition show.
He was absent that day and the next as he traveled back home.
The week before, Carson was also suddenly missing.
Sheinelle Jones filled in for him during the POPStart segment on those days.
Dylan Dreyer also occasionally fills in when Carson is out.
