THE Bachelor’s Matt James has seemingly deleted his Instagram post announcing that he had split from Rachael Kirkconnell.
Matt announced that he had split from Rachael back in January in a bombshell Instagram post, which left her feeling “blindsided.”
The couple, who met while filming season 25 of The Bachelor in 2020, seemed smitten just hours before the announcement, with fans left totally shocked.
But now, after fleeing the country and booking a one-way ticket to Kenya, Matt has seemingly wiped the split announcement from his Instagram page.
Matt shared a snap of him and Rachael last month and announced they had split in an obscure caption that read: “Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts.
“Give us peace about this decision to end our relationship that transcends worldly understanding.”
He added, “Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us.
“And remind us that our Joy comes from you, Lord,” complete with a broken heart emoji.
But now the post has vanished, while previous posts including Rachael remain on his page.
Meanwhile, taking to his Instagram stories just mere hours ago, Matt shared the view from where he is currently residing in Kenya.
He announced that he had booked a one-way ticket to Kenya just three days ago.
FLEEING THE STATES
Sharing an Instagram reel of him preparing for his unexpected trip, Matt could be seen getting some vaccinations ahead of flying to Africa.

In the caption of the video, he penned: “I booked a one way ticket to Kenya, please share Africa recs.”
At the time of him sharing he had booked a one-way ticket, fans reacted in the comment section.
One person asked: “You moving there Matt? One way ticket sounds permanent!”
While another said: “This is awesome! Follow your dreams!”

Matt fleeing the States comes after his ex Rachael spoke out about her split from him on a podcast.
BLINDSIDED BY ANNOUNCEMENT
Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Rachael chatted with host Alexandra Cooper about meeting Matt, falling for him and how their relationship progressed – as well as how blindsided she felt by his announcement.
“I don’t even think you should post a breakup announcement the same day you break up,” Rachael said while choking back tears, “But let alone you know not even give me a warning that you’re doing it.”
She also revealed how she saw Matt’s Instagram post as she was about to take off on a 12-hour flight.
“We’re literally getting ready to take off and my phone blows up it’s one of my best friends,” Rachael recalls, explaining how her pal had sent her a “bunch of question marks.”
“As soon as I saw that I’m like ‘Oh my gosh how does she know’ and then she text me again and said ‘I saw Matt’s post is this real life’ and that’s how I found out that he posted,” Rachael went on.
“So then literally the plane is taking off and I see his post and that’s it, I don’t have any service or anything for like the next 12 hours so I’m freaking out.”
