Teen Mom star Ryan Edwards’ troubled girlfriend Amanda Conner lost custody of son due to ‘neglect,’ divorce papers claim

TEEN Mom star Ryan Edwards’ troubled girlfriend, Amanda Conner, has reportedly lost custody of her son due to neglect, her divorce papers from her second marriage claim.

Ryan, 35, began dating Amanda, 33, over the summer of 2023 while the two were in rehab.

The U.S. Sun has exclusively obtained court documents from Amanda’s second divorce to her ex-husband Brandon Hancock.

Amanda filed for divorce from Brandon on November 7, 2019.

The court papers read, “The parties have irreconcilable differences which require termination of their marriage.”

Amanda and Brandon are parents to their son, Brandon Scott Hancock II, who was born in 2013 and is now 11 years old.

The court papers claim neither Amanda nor Brandon had custody of their son at the time of the divorce, as “said child is currently subject to a custody order in favor of the maternal grandfather.”

Amanda then filed a temporary parenting plan, where she noted that her father has custody of their son per a “Juvenile Court Order.”

The court papers include the Juvenile Court Order dated May 2014.

The documents reveal Amanda’s dad, Jesse, was granted temporary custody of Brandon on January 31, 2014.

Jesse’s wife, Lisa, was added as a co-petitioner.

The document dated May 16, 2014 reads, “Mr. Conner testified the mother, Amanda Conner, was currently incarcerated in Nashville, Tennessee for a probation violation with her release expected in February 2015.

“The father, Brandon Hancock, was currently incarcerated on a probation violation and has new matters pending in Hamilton County.

“Paternal relatives have informed the father may be facing several years of incarceration.”

The court papers continued, “The court found said child dependent and neglected based upon both parents being incarcerated and leaving the child in Hamilton County without a legal guardian.

“Therefore, in the best interest of the child, the Court awarded legal custody of the petitioners.”

The mother and father’s parenting time is at the discretion of Lisa and Jesse.

In February 2020, Amanda filed a Motion for Default Judgment, as she requested the judge grant the divorce without Brandon responding to her petition.

An Affidavit of Witness was filed by an interested party who claimed, “I have known Brandon and Amanda for around 10 years and have witnessed the abuse and adultery from Brandon to Amanda. I agree with the divorce.”

At a May 19, 2020 court hearing, a judge found Brandon guilty of inappropriate marital conduct and granted the divorce.

The parties were ordered the personal property in their possession and Amanda’s last name was restored to Conner.

As for custody, the court is “without jurisdiction” to rule on custody of their son because of the juvenile court order.

Amanda last posted her son on social media in May 2020.

Amanda’s father, Jesse, died on September 28, 2021.

Her mother, Lisa, posts and mentions Brandon on her social media.

FIRST MARRIAGE

This is Amanda’s second divorce.

The U.S. Sun previously reported Amanda was married in Florida in July 2010.

Her then-husband filed for divorce just four months later.

Their divorce was finalized in January 2011.

STEPMOTHER?

Despite not having custody of her son, Amanda sparked controversy by attending her boyfriend Ryan’s son Bentley’s wrestling match over the weekend.

Ryan shares Bentley, 15, with his ex-fiancee Maci Bookout

Amanda even posted videos cheering on Bentley as he competed.

Amanda captioned the post, “Go Buccaneers #Bentley,” and she added a geotag that revealed the location to be the Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville South/Cool Springs in Franklin, Tennessee.

Fans were concerned by the TV star’s appearance at the teen’s match, and even more so with her decision to post clips.

“Ryan’s new girlfriend already posting Bentley on her social media. I think she needs to stay in her lane and this is not it. Thoughts?” one wrote.

“I bet she’s just trying to get a reaction from Maci lol. Pathetic to use a kid like that. New girlfriend is such a 12 year old,” a second agreed.

“Classic move for the new girlfriend of a deadbeat dad,” a third trolled.

“Where’s your own son, Amanda?” a fourth wondered.

“Filming kids that aren’t hers… btw where are her kids?” a fifth asked.

BAD ROMANCE

Ryan met Amanda at rehab, as he completed 28 days in CADAS in July 2023 before living in Oasis halfway home.

The U.S. Sun obtained exclusive photos of Ryan and Amanda walking from their halfway house, which is on the same property as CADAS rehab, to the main building for group therapies and workshops on August 15.

A source claimed, “They met and started seeing each other at rehab. He doesn’t take anyone on his bike unless it’s a thing. No friends [are allowed].”

The source continued to The U.S. Sun of Ryan’s new relationship, “Choosing to use your time on and the type of people you’re surrounding yourself with is not okay.

“This girl is dangerous.”

A source close to Amanda previously told The U.S. Sun that she is infamous in Chattanooga, Tennessee, because of her bad girl reputation.

The insider claimed, “Amanda is trouble. She has been in and out of the system since she was old enough to catch a charge.

“She is not a good influence on Ryan.”

CRIMINAL HISTORY

The U.S. Sun obtained court records from a handful of Amanda’s arrests.

According to the Hamilton County Court website, arrests include theft under $500 in February 2009, where she received a suspended sentence of 11 months and 29 days and was placed on probation.

In June 2016, she was arrested for theft of property, where she received the same judgment of a suspended sentence of 11 months and 29 days.

On September 22, 2016, Amanda was arrested on multiple warrants.

The incident report read, “Upon arriving to Hamilton County Jail, Amanda was subject to a strip search due to a history of narcotics charges.

“Female jail staff found a small zip lock plastic bag containing a white crystal substance that [Conner] stated was meth. The bag was located in [Conner’s] bra.

“The substance is consistent with meth with an approximate weight of less than [half] a gram.”

She was charged with simple possession.

Her bond was set at $6,000 and she entered a guilty plea on March 23, 2017.

She received a jail sentence of 11 months and 29 days.

In August 2017, she was arrested again for possession of controlled substance. She pleaded guilty and was ordered to CADAS rehab.

The Chattanooga Police Department then arrested Amanda on April 25, 2018, after a call was made for a suspicious person at a CVS.

When officers arrived at the scene, Amanda was in a car with two other men.

The report read, “Another officer conducted a pat down of the female suspect. [The officer] located a small lump in the left side of [Conner’s] bra. When asked about it, she offered to remove it from her bra.

“She removed a small clear baggy of methamphetamine from her bra and a small clear baggy of light tan power that appeared to be heroin.”

In the vehicle, the officer found spoons and small clear plastic bags “commonly used for selling narcotics.”

The report continued, “During the interview, [Conner] gave a spontaneous utterance that she sells narcotics.”

She was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance.

Amanda entered a guilty plea on July 12, 2018.

She received a sentence of 11 months and 29 days in jail that was ultimately suspended and to be served on probation because of good behavior.

On November 6, 2021, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office busted Amanda with an expired registration and a license plate that didn’t belong to the vehicle.

The report read, “I located numerous items considered to be considered to be drug paraphernalia during a probable cause search of the vehicle.

“I also located marijuana and meth. I charged [Conner] with the misuse of registration, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.”

All of the charges were dismissed, per the District Attorney’s Office, on April 10, 2023.

On June 31, 2022, an officer from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office stopped Amanda when he observed no registration displayed on her car.

The report read, “The above violator was in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and multiple food stamp cards and debit cards that belonged to other people.”

She was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and fraudulent use of credit/debit card.

The possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed by the District Attorney’s Office.

For the fraud charge, she received a suspended sentence for good behavior for 11 months and 29 days to be completed in probation.

On June 21, 2023, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Amanda on warrants for driving under the influence, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

These charges are what landed her at CADAS rehab at the same time as Ryan.

Amanda found herself in trouble again when she was busted on August 19, 2023 for drugs general category for resale, possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and contraband in a penal institution.

All charges were dismissed by the District Attorney’s Office.

Amanda did not immediately respond to The U.S. Sun’s request for comment at the time.

BABY MAMA DRAMA

Ryan’s new romance comes after his split from his estranged wife, Mackenzie.

Mackenzie and Ryan share children Jagger, 5, and Stella, 4, together, as both have a son from a previous relationship.

She filed a petition for a protection order against Ryan on February 8, accusing him of domestic violence.

The order of protection was dropped at a July 14 court hearing to allow Ryan to speak with their children through her.

She filed for divorce from Ryan on February 27.

Mackenzie, who married Ryan in 2017, listed their separation date as January 2023 after he “became erratic and violent.”

The Teen Mom alum requested to be the “primary residential parent” of their children, as she is “fit and proper.”

She also requested Ryan provide child support for Jagger and Stella, as well as alimony for her.

Ryan has not responded to the divorce and the case remains ongoing.

RYAN’S TROUBLES

Ryan was in and out of jail in 2023 on driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, and other charges.

In early December, Ryan was arrested for failing to follow the terms of his probation.

He was released from jail ahead of the holidays and has a court hearing on April 23, 2024.
