TEEN Mom Jenelle Evans’ ex-fiance Nathan Griffith has been arrested and jailed on domestic battery charges.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively report that the former Teen Mom star father of two, 37, was handcuffed Wednesday night, April 23 for “domestic battery by strangulation” and violating probation in Las Vegas.
A Clark County Detention Center spokesperson told The U.S. Sun that he was taken into custody at 9:35 pm yesterday evening.
He is still behind bars as of Thursday morning, and cannot be bailed out due to his alleged probation violation, the spokesperson said.
He is due to appear in court on Thursday afternoon.
Nathan’s alleged victim has not been revealed.
The father of Jenelle’s son Kaiser, 10, was dating a 21-year-old named Anastasia, and often posted photos with her at the gym.
On Thursday morning, she posted the lyrics to Jhene Aiko’s song Wasted Love Freestyle, and shared a sad selfie.
She also deleted their photos together from her Instagram.
DISTURBING PAST CHARGES
Less than two years ago, Nathan was arrested for domestic battery by strangulation after an incident with his sister Heather.
“He tried to kill me, his own sister,” Heather told The U.S. Sun in an exclusive interview soon after the July 2023 arrest.
“My husband went out of town yesterday, and Nate had been sober at least a week, so he decided that he was going to drink immediately, as soon as my husband left. That’s when the threats and everything started.”
“He said to me: ‘Well, you know who is not home to protect you.'”
“He would not let me leave the house.
“He came across the kitchen and he started doing what he does to all women, he started choking me,” Heather continued, referencing Nathan’s February 2023 arrest for domestic battery by strangulation in Florida.
The Florida charges against Nathan were ultimately dropped after the victim “refused to cooperate” with cops.
“He threw me on the ground and got on top of me and told me I was going to die. That he was going to kill me.”
“In between sessions of him choking me, because he’s trying to make me blackout, I said ‘Nate, I’m your sister, how can you do this to me?’ And he’s like, ‘I don’t care. You’re going to die.’
“Finally, when he stopped choking me for like the fifth time, I put my knees to my chest as best as I could and kicked him across the room and ran out the door.”
Six months after the arrest, he checked into rehab.
According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Nathan pleaded guilty to the charges, and was sentenced to a strict Veteran’s Court program. (Nathan served in the Marines, which he once told The U.S. Sun left him disabled and suffering from PTSD.)
However, he was kicked out of the program for not having “adhered to the programming rules and policies” in July 2024, The Ashley reported.
He was then re-sentenced to indefinite probation, and could face up to 48 months in prison for a violation.
