TEEN Mom Amber Portwood’s fiance has been found after disappearing on Sunday.
Bryson City Police Department in North Carolina confirmed on Friday that her partner, Gary Wayt, 39, was located.
“No further information available at this time,” the department said. “Case is Closed.”
Before closing the case, North Carolina police revealed to The U.S. Sun that Gary turned up in New Mexico after being spotted in Oklahoma.
Though Amber’s fiance appeared to be traveling across the country on his own accord, he was still considered missing.
“We have information that he was in New Mexico at one point,” the statement from police read.
“Gary will stay a missing person until he contacts Bryson City Police or contacts another law enforcement officer,” it concluded.
While it’s unknown if Gary contacted law enforcement, the Bryson City Police no longer considers him a missing person.
As The U.S. Sun first exclusively revealed, the Teen Mom star’s partner was with her attending her brother’s wedding in the remote mountains of North Carolina when the pair got into an argument on Sunday.
It ended with Gary storming out of the cabin around 6 pm, taking only the car keys and his wallet, and disappearing.
By 4 pm Monday, a distraught Amber called local police and reported Gary missing.
When he departed, the couple were hundreds of miles away from their Indianapolis, Indiana, home.
“We know he is not in this area. We know he is driving his vehicle. We have confirmed that he is in a different state,” the law enforcement source revealed.
ON THE ROAD
On Tuesday, Gary was spotted in Oklahoma, more than a 10-hour drive from North Carolina.
Police confirmed that Gary had turned up at an Oklahoma Verizon store, but gave little further information earlier this week.
It’s another 7-and-a-half-hour drive from Oklahoma to New Mexico.
The couple spent last weekend in Bryson City for her brother Shawn Portwood’s wedding to his longtime girlfriend, Rachel Williams.
In photos exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, the couple appeared happy together and were seemingly enjoying the celebration on June 6, before things took a turn for the worse on Sunday.
FAMILY MATTERS
The news hit that Amber and Gary were engaged while they were in North Carolina, and an insider revealed that her new fiance’s family was not pleased about it.
“They talked about the difference in culture between his culture and hers and how his family was not very accepting of her and expressed serious concerns.
“They also said that they didn’t like her past,” the insider added.
Amber and Gary planned to speak to his family about their concerns after their weekend away, but due to Gary’s sudden disappearance, that never happened.
AMBER’S PAST
The reality TV star’s life has been well-documented.

Her difficult journey and her fractured relationships with her two children, neither of whom she has custody of, have played out on TV.

She also has a 6-year-old son, James, with her ex Andrew Glennon.
Amber spent 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to two felony charges of domestic battery following an alleged attack on Leah’s father, Gary.
The TV personality has been open about her struggles with addiction and mental illness.
Amber wrote extensively about her past and her various mental health diagnoses in her book, So, You’re Crazy Too?
A source close to Amber said that the TV star has “endured a lot of trauma and has worked hard in recent years to move past all of that.”
