TEEN Mom Amber Portwood “still hasn’t spoken to” finance Gary Wayt since he was found, as an insider reveals her future plans.
A source close to Amber, 34, exclusively revealed to The U.S. Sun that after her new fiance became a missing person when he bolted with only his keys and wallet following an argument – only to turn up several days later- that the Teen Mom star has had no contact with her new beau.
“Amber has not spoken to him and she isn’t reaching out to him,” the insider revealed.
“She hasn’t really reached out to anyone since he was found.
“She is pretty hurt by the whole situation and still in disbelief,” the insider added.
Amber and Gary, 39, attended her brother Shawn Portwood’s wedding in North Carolina and stayed in the mountainous area for a long weekend.
On Sunday, June 9th, the source said that the couple seemed happy and added that the reality star had even bought Gary his own engagement ring that very day, and he was wearing it.
It’s unclear if Amber is expecting to get the ring back.
The insider said the pair haven’t exactly broken up since they haven’t spoken.
On June 14, police confirmed that Gary had been located, and closed their case.
As that Sunday day turned into night and the pair began to pack things to head home to Indiana, they got into an argument.
As The U.S. Sun first exclusively reported, the argument the Teen Mom star had with her boyfriend of less than a year ended in him leaving her and becoming a missing person.
The news hit that Amber and Gary were engaged while they were in North Carolina, and her new fiance’s family was not pleased.
THE FIGHT
“They talked about the difference in culture between his culture and hers and how his family was not very accepting of her and expressed serious concerns.
“They also said that they didn’t like her past,” a source added.
The happy couple was set to talk to Gary’s family after the wedding weekend, but that never happened.
After the argument, Gary stormed out of the cabin they were staying in, grabbed his car keys and his wallet, and bolted out the door – leaving his phone behind.
Without his phone, no one could get a hold of him, the next day a distraught Amber called the police to report him missing.
Bryson City Police Department opened a missing person’s case and put out an alert for him.
Gary had been spotted in Oklahoma and New Mexico and police insisted they would keep the case open until he contacted authorities.
He finally turned up on Friday and presumably let authorities know he was okay, as the alert was called off – although the mystery around his brief disappearance remains.

She also has a 6-year-old son, James, who lives in California with his dad Andrew Glennon.
The Teen Mom star also spent 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to two felony charges of domestic battery following an alleged attack on Leah’s father, Gary.
Amber wrote extensively about her troubled past and her various mental health diagnoses in her book So, You’re Crazy Too?
A source close to Amber said that the MTV star has “endured a lot of trauma and has worked hard in recent years to move past all of that.”
