TEEN Mom Amber Portwood and her new fiance Gary Wayt’s fight that led him to storm out and leave her stranded without a car has been revealed as he remains missing since Sunday.
Specifics about the argument the Teen Mom star had with her boyfriend of less than a year that ended in him leaving her and becoming a missing person is now exclusively revealed by The U.S. Sun.
“They drove out from Indiana to North Carolina for her brother’s wedding, which was Thursday, and they seemed to be having a great time,” one insider revealed.
Amber, 34, and Gary, 39, stayed the weekend as planned, and they got in quality time with her brother Shawn Portwood and his new wife, Rachel Williams.
The pair seemed to be happy, according to the source, and in the last photos of Gary at the nuptials and exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun.
The news hit that Amber and Gary were engaged while they were in North Carolina, and it appeared that her new fiance’s family was not pleased about it.
“They talked about the difference in culture between his culture and hers and how his family was not very accepting of her and expressed serious concerns.
“They also said that they didn’t like her past,” the insider added.
Amber and Gary planned to go over to his family’s house after the weekend away to speak with them about their concerns, but of course, that never happened.
As The U.S. Sun first revealed, after the argument on Sunday, Gary stormed out of the VRBO cabin they were staying in, grabbed his car keys and his wallet and bolted out the door.
Since he left his phone behind, no one could get a hold of him, and when he was gone the entire night and the next day, a distraught Amber called the police to report him missing.
Local police in Bryson City opened a missing person’s case and put out an alert for him.
Meanwhile, Amber was stranded in the cabin in the woods, without a car and beyond her VRBO checkout date.
“She was beside herself and hadn’t eaten or slept and was worried sick about him,” the insider added.
However, after she received word he was spotted in Oklahoma on Tuesday, as The U.S. Sun had exclusively revealed, she was able to breathe a little easier.
The insider said it was at that point she started making arrangements to get home to Indiana.
A fellow Teen Mom cast member came to a stranded Amber’s rescue.
“Maci Bookout came and picked her up and drove her back to Indiana,” the insider added.
GARY SPOTTED
Police previously confirmed Amber’s fiance was spotted more than 10 hours away from their North Carolina cabin on Tuesday.
“We know he is not in this area. We know he is driving his vehicle. We have confirmed that he is in a different state.”
The law enforcement source further confirmed the 39-year-old popped up in Oklahoma.
A source familiar with the investigation said everyone was breathing a sigh of relief that Gary was spotted but added that they weren’t sure the 39-year-old knew he was a missing person since he didn’t have his phone.
