Maximilian Osinski takes on the role of mercurial forward Zava in Ted Lasso season 3 but what do we know about the actor – from his height and age to his social media presence and previous roles?
Over the course of its three seasons, Ted Lasso has introduced its fans to a host of weird and wonderful characters as the ranks of AFC Richmond have grown from a group of anonymous extras to a bona fide footballing family.
In season 3 of the Apple TV+ series, the likes of Jamie Tartt, Dani Rojas and Sam Obisanya have had to welcome another member to the team in the form of superstar striker Zava who is played by actor Maximilian Osinski.
Zava arrives at Richmond in Ted Lasso season 3
Following their return to the Premier League in season 3, AFC Richmond have been in desperate need of some reinforcements and Ted Lasso has certainly delivered another fascinating character to add to the squad in Zava.
Inspired by the real-life player, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Zava was introduced in episode 2 as several clubs battled for his signature but ultimately, club owner Rebecca succeeded in persuading him to join the newly promoted underdogs by offering him a challenge to satisfy his enormous ego.
After officially signing for Richmond in episode 3, Zava, who carries himself like a god, quickly set about imbuing his influence on the team, winning over almost all at the club except fellow hotshot striker, Jamie Tartt.
While Jamie was left less than impressed with his holier-than-thou teammate, the footballing world was left gawking as a series of remarkable Zava goals fired Richmond into the upper echelons of the Premier League.

Meet Maximilian Osinski: Height, age and nationality
Taking on the role of Zava in Ted Lasso is Maximilian Osinski.
The actor was born in the city of Eisenstadt in the region of Burgenland in Austria but has moved between the US and UK for various acting projects in recent years.
Born on January 5, 1986, Maximilian Osinski is 37 years of age as of March 2023, making him just a few years younger than the real-life footballer his character was inspired by as Zlatan Ibrahimović is incredibly still playing at the age of 41.
Standing at 6 ft 2 (189.9 cm) tall, Maximilian Osinski is the perfect height to play an athletic and towering striker, although the real Zlatan is 6 ft 5 (195 cm).

In his personal life, Maximilian is married to Nepali-Australian actress, Dichen Lachman, after they both appeared in Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD together and they have one child, a daughter, who was born in 2015.
Like most actors in the modern industry, Osinski is highly active on social media, most notably on Instagram where he currently has a following of just over 13,000.
Following his arrival on Ted Lasso, Osinski’s profile has almost become a shrine to Zava, as most of his posts now feature the fictional player, very fitting for an actor playing such a flashy footballer.
Along with playing Zava, you might recognise Osinski from these roles
Since making his acting debut in 2007, Maximilian Osinski has gone on to appear in over 25 roles, with many of them in big-name productions.
Fans will likely know the Austrian actor best from Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD where he played Agent Davis between 2013 and 2020.
On top of that, Osinski has also appeared in the likes of The Last Ship, The Nine Lives Of Claw, The Walking Dead spin-off World Beyond, New Amsterdam, Hollywood Hitmen and the Tom Hanks-starring war movie Greyhound.

Season 3 of Ted Lasso is available to stream on Apple TV+ after releasing on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
