Who doesn’t love a Google Doodle? Over the years, the search engine has become notorious for its various logo doodles celebrating a multitude of different occasions and events. Many are curious to know why Google didn’t celebrate Easter with a doodle this year.
Favored search engine Google is often appreciated for its unique Google Doodles. It seems many on the internet anticipated the tech giant to produce an Easter-themed Doodle for this year’s celebration.
However, much to the surprise of various users across the web, as Easter Sunday rolled around, Google’s logo remained unchanged.

Twitter users question the lack of Easter Google Doodle
As the Easter weekend comes to a close, various internet users across social media sites have started questioning the lack of an Easter Google Doodle.
Many have flocked to Twitter to question Google on its lack of Easter celebration.
One user claimed it was weird, considering Google often has a dedicated logo illustration for various occasions:
Other users simply questioned where the doodle was and why there wasn’t one.
Various images of different Google Doodles have flooded the social media site, with many users seemingly angry at the search engine for celebrating holidays like Ramadan with a doodle.
However, the images are completely false and never used officially by Google.

Why did Google not celebrate Easter?
Google typically does not have Doodles for religious holidays.
In 2018 the tech giant was called out for their lack of Easter and Christian holiday Doodles. In response to the criticism, Google contacted Fox News to provide clarity on the situation.
“We don’t have Doodles for religious holidays, in line with our current Doodle guidelines.”
The statement continued:
“Doodles may appear for some non-religious celebrations that have grown out of religious holidays, such as Valentine’s Day, Holi Festival Of Colors, Tu B’Av, and the December holiday period, but we don’t include religious imagery or symbolism as part of these.”
Google typically celebrates holidays such as Earth Day, Martin Luther King Day, Halloween, and so on.
The tech giant has not produced a Google Doodle for Easter since 2000. This means for the past 23 years there has been no official illustration dedicated to the Easter celebration.
