Many fans are wondering if Taylor Swift is dating Jack Sanborn after a post went viral on Twitter this week.
The Anti-Hero singer has reportedly split from her boyfriend of six years Joe Alwyn, an English actor who starred in The Favourite.
“Taylor and Joe are in totally different places in their lives right now,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. However, the pair are yet to confirm it.
The insider claimed it was Taylor’s decision but both of them realised they “weren’t completely right for one another”.
“They had been together for such a long time and were spending so much time together, but their personalities were just too different,” they continued.

No, the 33-year-old is not dating Jack Sanborn.
The false rumor stems from a post shared on April 13 which says: “Rumor: After her breakup, Taylor Swift is reportedly dating Bears LB Jack Sanborn.”
“Sanborn, 22, previously dated actress Margot Robbie. He broke up with her because her net worth was not over $100 million, calling her ‘laughably poor’,” it continues.
The post has had more than 135,000 views but was intended to be satirical and the pair are not and have never been romantically linked.
Sanborn is a 22-year-old linebacker for the Chicago Bears in the NFL who played college football at Wisconsin.
Twitter user confirms it’s fake
The comical post managed to fool a lot of people, prompting the Twitter user, who is an NFL draft analyst, to confirm it was fake.
“Some people are taking my Jack Sanborn/Taylor Swift tweet seriously lolol,” he wrote, clearly in floods of laughter.
He then added a photo of a laughing emoji with the caption: “When I purposefully spread misinformation on the internet.”
“People on the internet really will believe anything,” one person commented.
Another joked: “Sanborn is out of her league we all know this.”
This comes just a few weeks after rumors went viral that Ice Spice and Pete Davidson were dating, but that’s not true either.
Fans think Taylor and Joe are still together
Despite reports, lots of fans think Taylor and Joe are still together after she was spotted in New York this week.
The Shake It Off star went for dinner with her friend and producer Jack Antonoff and was pictured wearing jeans with a cute embellished butterfly.
However, it was her jewelry that caught everyone’s attention as she still appeared to be wearing her circle necklace with the letter ‘J’ on it.
The star started wearing the silver Tiffany piece in 2016 after she started dating the actor and sings about it in her song Call It What You Want.
“I want to wear his initial on a chain round my neck,” the lyrics say, practically confirming the necklace is a sign of her love for Alwyn.
However, others thought it wasn’t the ‘J’ necklace at all as it was too big. Until she addresses it, their true relationship status remains a mystery.
