SYDNEY Sweeney’s potential sister-in-law is a millionaire cannabis CEO who owns an $11 million mansion, despite the actress never touching marijuana in her life.
Sydney, 27, was seen over the weekend at lunch with her on again, off again, fiance, Jonathan Davino, 41.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal Jonathan’s sister, Carissa, sits on the throne of her own empire, in which she is known as the “Cannabis Vape Queen.”
In 2020, Variety published a piece about Carissa’s massive Los Angeles mansion purchase. Carissa purchased the stunning, $11 million mansion in 2019.
The expansive 7-bedroom, 6,500-square-foot home was renovated by the Chicago-born maven, with personal touches such as new wallpaper, and all-new custom closets.
The marijuana mogul appears to have made her fortune off a uniquely designed cannabis vape that allows the consumer to smoke from two different cartridges at once, according to Cannabis Law Report.
Her company is Double Barrel LLC, for which she is the CEO and owner, with the vaporizers going for $90 a unit.
She also owns Avanzato Technology, which is another vape technology company.
Carissa’s business is a divergence from her famous would-be sister-in-law’s proclivities.
In an interview with Marie Claire, Sydney said she has never smoked weed.
She found her most challenging scene ever in season 1 of White Lotus as she had to smoke a bong, something she had no idea how to do as she had never done it before.
Carissa’s chic mansion is just a 20-minute drive to Sydney and Jonathan’s Bel-Air pad that has been under renovation.
The U.S. Sun previously obtained exclusive photos of the couple’s compound.
Sydney and film producer Jonathan, who were first linked in 2018, got engaged in 2022.
BIG MORTGAGE
In the photos, Jonathan met with construction workers at their property in March, while Sydney was rumored to be staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Their 1930s home, situated on 1.25 acres, boasts 4,477 square feet of living space, featuring five bedrooms and four bathrooms. While their renovation plans remain unclear, the property listing described it as an “excellent opportunity for full-scale new construction.”
The estate includes a two-storey main house and a separate guesthouse located at the rear.
Previously, the grounds of the 4,500-square-foot home were overrun with trees and weeds, leaving Sydney and Jonathan with considerable work on their hands.
According to property filings reviewed by The U.S. Sun, the couple secured a mortgage for the property with City National Bank for $4.34 million, with a maturity date set for 1 June 2053.
ON AGAIN OFF AGAIN ON AGAIN?
Over the weekend, on the heels of news breaking that the couple were ending their years-long engagement, the pair were spotted out for lunch together on Sunday at the Beverly Glen Deli in LA.
The actress was covered up, with a hoodie over her head and sunglasses on, for the outing.
Breakup rumors began after Sydney had deleted a photo of her and Jonathan kissing from a carousel of photos on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Sydney and her former Anyone but You co-star Glenn Powell have been courting rumors that they are an item, something the actor’s mother has shot down.
