Does Sweet N Low contain erythritol?

No. Sweet’N Low does not contain erythritol.

The official website reveals most of their products contain the sweeteners Acesulfame-K, Aspartame, or a mixture of both.

This includes their tablets for beverages, granules for sprinkling and large industrial bags of sugar alternative for chefs.

They also offer a 3kg bag of sweetener that contains Saccharin, another sweetener and alternative to erythritol.

The new study was published in the journal of Nature Medicine on Monday (Febraury 7) and is titled: “The artificial sweetener erythritol and cardiovascular event risk.”

Science researchers at a Clinic in Cleveland checked the blood erythritol levels of more than 4,000 people in the US and Europe.

They found that people with existing risk factors for heart disease were twice as likely to have a stroke or blood clot if they had high levels of the erythritol in their blood.

The reachers concluded that erythritol is associated with “incident (3 year) risk for major adverse cardiovascular events,” “MACE risk” and “fosters enhanced thrombosis”.

This comes as the CDC has just issued warnings about a new norovirus stomach bug which is on the rise in 2023.
