Suzanne died following a lengthy battle with breast cancer, according to reports, on Sunday.
The beloved TV star was one day away from turning 77 years old.
The Three’s Company star began her birthday month with a celebratory message for her fans.
“Good morning!!! It’s October which means, it’s my birthday month!!” she shared excitedly. “So many exciting things happening.”
In the comments section, fans shared their sympathy.
“I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of the beautiful (Suzanne) – I loved her when I was a kid, and loved watching her videos here on IG as an adult,” one person reminisced. “Her beautiful smile and laughter will be missed.”
Another added: “I’m so sorry to hear about Suzanne. She was an icon.”
As a third echoed: “I am so very sorry for her whole family! I will miss her podcasts, her beautiful smile, her wit, her laughter. She has touched my life in such a positive way I feel like I lost a good friend.”
Suzanne was diagnosed with skin cancer when she was in her 30s, and then found herself fighting breast cancer in her 50s.
In August, Suzanne took to her Instagram to share with fans an update on her fight: “… As you know, I had breast cancer two decades ago, and every now and then it pops up again, and I continue to bat it down.
“I have used the best alternative and conventional treatments to combat it.”

Suzanne’s death was confirmed by Page Six following a hard-fought cancer battle.
The actress died early Sunday morning, the star’s longtime publicist, R. Couri Hay, told the outlet.
They shared: “Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.”
“Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family.”
BIRTHDAY REUNION
According to the Step by Step actress’ publicist, Suzanne’s family was planning to reunite to celebrate her 77th birthday.
“Instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life, and want to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly,” he told the outlet.
“A private family burial will take place this week, with a memorial to follow next month.”
A source shared with the outlet that the longtime star passed away next to her husband, Alan Hamel.
The Three’s Company alum and her husband tied the knot in 1977.
Alan is a Canadian entertainer, producer, and television host who’s best known for his hosting work and game shows like the Anniversary Game.
He is yet to comment on the tragic loss.
